Right now I have been having a bit of a down week but I've been saying that I wanted to switch my appreciation page over to a blog format so I can write it more freely with a nice consistent format. So, here I am.

As rough as it has been this week for one reason or another, I am very grateful for a number of things. I am thankful for having my basement apartment which I love dearly though yes, it does need extra heat, it still makes me feel safe and happy.

I am thankful for http://www.craigslist.org for a number of categories that they have that open up a world of possibilities.

Also if anyone knows of any part-time jobs in Falls Church, VA that needs a techie type, please feel free to let me know. What I would love is something that does not involve taking care of children, my last part time job was taking care of a 15 year old and I learned at this late stage in life, part time does not apply when it comes to children, even if the job says it is. I just want something simple and computer related with minimal interaction with people. I like interacting with people but in social settings. I am a computer techie by nature and I love it but that usually deals with mostly computers and less so dealing with people. I've always reserved my people time for my friends and social interaction or helping someone. It works great for me to have a small chunk of my life just working in a focused manner. So, with that short marketing sales pitch for any part time jobs that I can work along with my business I digress and return to the things that I am thankful for in life.

I am thankful that I started dating again because I have realized it has been missing in my life.

I am grateful for headache medication for which I need to take right now.

Okay as I wait for my generic Advil to kick in, I want to try to think of a few more things that I am thankful for in my life.

I am still thankful for Amy and Rose even if we don't talk as much as needed I know they are still there.

I'm trying to think, I am grateful and appreciate the arts because they bring us something that helps us see beyond the thing that are temporary in the bad category of life.

I am thankful that when the news gets really bad and the focus is always on negative things, I can cut it off.

I'm grateful for the color fuschia because it is vibrant and a lovely color.

I'm thankful I finally started this page!
